Doctor of Audiology
Dr. Hess has practiced as an Audiologist for a total of 40 years in a variety of settings. This has given him a broad base of practical knowledge to draw from, along with the academics, when serving his current patient base. Dr. Hess is married, and has been, to the same person, for 40 years. He and his wife Sandee have two grown children, Gretchen and Joseph and a grand-dog affectionately known as “Fizz”. Dr. Hess is an avid “chef” and enjoys cooking old traditional ethnic recipes and is always up for trying something new. He is also an avid motorcyclist. His wife Sandee has become quite interested and talented at lapidary and beading and turns out some unique, beautiful and interesting jewelry.

Office manager/Patient Care Coordinator
Vicki is the Office Manager/Patient Care Coordinator at Bellingham Hearing Center. She has been with BHC since 2007
Vicki has many responsibilities starting with being the official greeter. She also makes and confirms appointments; provider scheduling; manages and maintains patient paper and database files; insurance verification; billing; accounts receivable and vender relations and overall day-to-day functions of the office. Vicki strives to perform her best to keep patients satisfied and the office running smoothly and efficiently.
Prior to her position at BHC, Vicki began working in the local hearing care field in 2001. She has over nine years of combined work experience as an office manager and patient care coordinator. Vicki has received online and continuous hands-on training to keep her up-to-date with ever-changing advancements in patient care.
In addition to her experience working in the hearing care industry; Vicki has over 14 years of real-world experience in merchandising sales. She has also studied and passed the exam to attain a Washington state Real Estate license.
Vicki has lived in northwest Washington for over 20 years. Married 8 years to her husband Don, they live here in Bellingham, with their ferret Mickey. Vicki and Don enjoy taking walks in the parks, and spending time with her 2 grown children and 6 grandchildren. Some of her interests include gardening, listening to classic rock music, watching classic movies and reading a good novel.
