Hearing Aid Fitting

After we decide if you would be a good candidate for hearing aids, then we will go over your options. We carry a wide range of hearing aids at different levels of technology. Once we decide which hearing aid will best suit your individual hearing needs, we will fit and program them to your ears.

Fitting your hearing aids is necessary to ensure they sit comfortably yet securely in or around your ear. Because you wear your hearing aids all day, every day, it’s important that they feel comfortable to you.

Hearing Aid Programming

We want you to hear comfortably, that’s why we will take our time to program the hearing aids to a level that is comfortable for you to hear. Using the results of your audiogram, we will adjust the settings on your hearing aids to provide you with the right amount of amplification to hear in your preferred listening environments. Hearing aids should not be too loud or too quiet. It is our goal to program your hearing aids to your exact degree of hearing loss, allowing you to hear to the best of your abilities.

Follow-Up Appointments

It can take some time to adjust to new hearing aids. If this is your first-time wearing hearing aids, you may have become accustomed to not hearing certain sounds, and your hearing aids may seem overwhelming at first. We encourage you to be patient as your ears and brain adjust to hearing the soft sounds of your environment again.

When you are fit with hearing aids, we will schedule you to come back in for a follow-up appointment where we will fine-tune your hearing aids. We encourage you to give us as much feedback as possible so we can make adjustments to the programming of your devices and ensure they are fine-tuned uniquely to you.
